America–Adding Sin To Sin

“Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord,
“Who execute a plan, but not Mine,
And make an alliance, but not of My Spirit,
In order to add sin to sin;
Who proceed down to Egypt without consulting Me…
Isaiah 30:1-2a (NASB)

It seems that each new day brings with it another ungodly decision by America’s leadership. In my last post, I discussed President Obama’s declaration against God and Israel concerning the Land of Israel and the sovereignty of Jerusalem. I cringed when I read today’s headline for Arutz Sheva.

“US Rejects Bush’s Promise; Maaleh Adumin on Chopping Block”

“Maaleh Adumim, Betar Illit, Ariel and Gush Etzion are on the chopping block. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said she refuses to honor an American promise that Israel retain large population centers.”

The following is the full article.

Arutz Sheva reports: Former President George W. Bush, in a letter to former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2004, wrote, “In light of new realities on the ground, including already existing major Israeli populations centers, it is unrealistic to expect that the outcome of final status negotiations will be a full and complete return to the armistice lines of 1949, and all previous efforts to negotiate a two-state solution have reached the same conclusion.”Secretary Clinton’s blunt dismissal of the “informal” promise places more than 100,000 residents of Maaleh Adumim, Ariel, Betar Illit and Gush Etzion on the list for future expulsions to make way for a Palestinian Authority state. The State Department previously had dodged taking a stand on whether the Obama administration would honor the promise.

“There is no memorialization of any informal and oral agreements. If they did occur, which of course people say they did, they did not become part of the official position of the United States government,” Clinton said at a news conference with the Turkish Foreign Minister.

She repeated a claim that the Roadmap requires Israel to surrender all of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, although the document only calls for the future borders of Israel and a new PA state to be negotiated.

President Bush wrote his letter after Sharon proposed the “Disengagement” plan to expel nearly 10,000 Jews from Gush Katif and parts of northern Samaria and turn the Gaza communities over to the PA, which was taken over by Hamas in the area following implementation of the plan.

The letter also states, “I remain committed to my June 24, 2002 vision of two states living side by side in peace and security as the key to peace, and to the road map as the route to get there…. Under the road map, Palestinians must undertake an immediate cessation of armed activity and all acts of violence against Israelis anywhere, and all official Palestinian institutions must end incitement against Israel….

“Your government has stated that the barrier being erected by Israel should be a security rather than political barrier, should be temporary rather than permanent, and therefore not prejudice any final status issues including final borders, and its route should take into account, consistent with security needs, its impact on Palestinians not engaged in terrorist activities.”

Israel’s Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, kept his vow to President Bush.  He planned and implemented the Disengagement to full completion.  As I read this news article, it immediately brought to mind another account of the leadership of a nation breaking a vow to a people and the consequences it brought upon an entire nation.

“Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.”  2 Samuel 21:1 (KJV)

I encourage you to follow the entire story of this through the Scriptures. (Joshua chapter 9 & 2 Samuel chapter 21) The following is an overview of the story.

When God brought Israel into the promised land, He gave very specific instructions that Israel not make alliances with the inhabitants of Canaan. The Gibeonites, hearing of all of Israel’s initial conquests and how their God had gone before them and supernaturally fought their battles, feared Israel and her God. The leaders of Gibeon set out with a plan to fool the Israelites into believing that they were indeed not inhabitants of the land they were conquering, and to convince the Isralites to vow to not only spare them, but to ally with them and protect them from other enemies. Their plan of deception worked. Joshua and the leaders of the tribes fell for the deception and vowed a vow. After they realized the Gibeonites had deceived them, it did not nullify the vow.  Joshua and all of Israel knew God’s command about keeping vows.  In fear of God, they kept their vow to the Gibeonites–even fighting to save them from other nations.  That was, until Israel’s first king.  King Saul chose to do defy the vow and slaughter many of the Gibeonite men. God’s judgment upon Israel even after the death of Saul reveals how God looks at VOWS—whether written or verbal.

Five years ago, the former leader of OUR NATION, President George W. Bush, made a VOW with the leader of ISRAEL, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. And now, our new leader, President Barack Hussein Obama, through his Secretary of State (and former First Lady) Hillary Rodham Clinton, has made the decision and proclamation to not honor that vow, as if it means nothing to break it. I’m afraid that he, and his counselors, are seriously mistaken. It is bad enough that our leaders continue to try to force Israel to give away COVENANT LAND, but our leadership is adding sin to sin by doing such as this.

And here is an observation I find very significant.  When I read the above article, the Lord spoke to me and said, “They’re adding sin to sin.”    I knew He was speaking part of the Scriptures to me but I did not remember where in Scripture this  quote was from.  So, I did a search for it.  When I found it and read it, the Lord prompted me to keep reading into the next verse and it began: “Who proceed down to Egypt without consulting me…”. Considering that only 3 days earlier (Thursday, June 4, 2009), President Obama had also done this very thing, and I had just posted an article concerning his doing so, I knew that this was not coincidence–that the Spirit of God was showing me all of this.

I will say it again and again and again.  God is angry with the United States for what we have done and continue to do  against the nation of Israel and the covenant land of Israel.  Only with the sincere repentance and intercession of God’s people here in the U.S. might God show great mercy in His judgment for the sin of this nation.  I also admonish you to please PAY ATTENTION to all that our nation’s leaders are doing and saying–especially concerning our Middle East policies.    I encourage you to subscribe to Christian news services from Israel to get the truth and a Biblical perspective on the decisions that are being implemented.  Our nations media–especially the networks and CNN–are in the administrations back pocket.  They saw to it that Obama was elected and they are his “YES MEN”.  The thing we must remember is what God said in His Word concerning the leaders of nations.

Daniel 2:20-21 (KJV)
Daniel answered and said,
Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever:
for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons:
he removeth kings, and setteth up kings:
he giveth wisdom unto the wise,
and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Not long after former president Bill Clinton’s shameful lewd acts inside the White House while president was made known to the whole world, I asked the Lord, “Lord, Your Word says that it is You who sets up kings and removes kings. So why did You give us Bill Clinton?”  He immediately answered and said, “Because your nation deserved him.”  This was an indictment against America by GOD.  It not only spoke of the man Bill Clinton, but of an entire nation’s immorality.  But there was much more to Bill and America’s sin than immorality.  It was the pressure his administration was putting on Israel to give up land for peace with their enemies.  Who could ever forget the famous handshake orchestrated by President Clinton September 13, 1993?  rabin-clinton-arafat-pqPresident Clinton managed to coerce Israel’s Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestinian Authority leader Yasser Arafat to sign the Oslo Peace Accord whereby the Palestinians would make peace if Israel gave up the land of Gaza and the West Bank. I find it quite interesting that Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel was the one credited for staging this famous handshake photo for Clinton.

Rabin was assassinated two years later, Clinton’s sex scandal became known around the world five years after the agreement, Arafat dies in 2004, and the Oslo agreement was ultimately a failure.  This agreement was signed on September 13, 1993 and on September 11, 2001–eight years later–America is attacked by her enemies on her own soil for the first time since the bombing of Pearl Harbor during WWII.   I find it enlightening that the number “8” in the meaning of Biblical numerics represents “a new beginning — a new order of things”.  As I sat there on 9/11 witnessing my dream from the morning before coming to pass before my eyes–seeing God’s judgment coming on America that I had seen in a dream hours before–the Lord spoke to me and said, “This is just the beginning.”  I also find the fact that one year to the day before 9/11, on September 11, 2000, President Bill Clinton, after lying to the world over and over again regarding the sex scandal, stands before a Presidential Prayer Breakfast and confessing, “I HAVE SINNED”, very enlightening.  Coincidence?  I think not.

As I closely followed the run for the White House in 2008, I knew that if God allowed Obama to win, that God was setting this nation up for even more severe judgment. God had already told me that 9/11 was “just the beginning”, and when He spoke this to me I also heard the words “bio and nuclear war”.    I cannot help but notice the speed in which things are moving since Obama’s election.   The average citizen in the U.S. cannot keep up with all that is happening–things that are unraveling the fabric and uprooting the foundation of this nation.  I am afraid that for the most part, the average American citizen does not WANT to know.  Even Christians would rather look the other way and carry on in their own little world while this nation crumbles around them.  God is calling for HIS PEOPLE to awaken from their slumber, to be shaken from their apathy, to allow Him to put eye salve on their eyes so that they can see and not be caught blind.  Even non-believers recognize much of what is happening while many in the Church do not have a clue.
