03.23.2010 The Handwriting on the Wall

A Word of the Lord
concerning things said and done
by the leaders of the United States of America
against Israel and her leaders.

As I sat here this morning (March 23, 2010) praying for Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and his meeting today with U.S. President, Barack Hussein Obama, I felt I should post something concerning not only the significance of this meeting, but some of the decisions our President has made in his first year in office that have been done to pressure and manipulate Israel’s leadership into bowing to his demands.  As I asked what the Lord would want me to share,  I heard:

“you have been weighed in the balances
and been found wanting”

I looked up this Scripture, and as I read it again, I knew God was speaking this over our nation and over this president.  As I sat here in my study reading this account from the fifth chapter of Daniel, God allowed me to hear confirmation of this coming from another room.  My husband was watching the morning news on FOX in the living room, and I suddenly heard U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, say:

It is our devotion to this outcome – two states for two peoples, secure and at peace – that led us to condemn the announcement of plans for new construction in East Jerusalem.

New construction in East Jerusalem or the West Bank undermines that mutual trust and endangers the proximity talks that are the first step toward the full negotiations that both sides say they want and need.

Immediately afterward, FOX aired an excerpt from Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech that followed. His response to Hillary’s  condemnation of  Israel’s construction projects in East Jerusalem was:

The Jewish people were building Jerusalem 3,000 years ago and the Jewish people are building Jerusalem today. Jerusalem is not a settlement. It is our capital.

Both were speaking before AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee) yesterday, March 22, 2010.  It  was no coincidence that at the very moment God is giving me this from His Word concerning our nation–comparing it with how He dealt with another king and nation that profaned His Name and mistreated His people–that I would see and hear our nations leadership condemning Israel’s actions, and would in turn hear and see Israel’s leadership defending their  God-given right  to conduct their affairs as a sovereign nation and a nation of proven antiquity without interference from another nation.  I had no doubt that I was definitely hearing the word that the Lord wanted us to hear. One year ago, almost to the day, the Lord gave me a dream of utter desolation in the U.S. (see 03.08.2009 Desolation in the U.S.)  I do not know for a certainty that this word from the Lord is directly connected to the dream from a year ago, but because I have seen things He has shown me or spoken to me confirmed or fulfilled on or near anniversaries of such as this, it definitely got my attention.  I do know for certain, based on the Scriptures, that our nations leaders who come against Israel verbally or physically are bringing curses on this nation.  (Gen. 12:1-3)

Here is the Word of the Lord that He was speaking over our nation and it’s leadership:

Daniel 5:22-28 (KJV)
22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.
25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

God gave me more confirmation in that He reminded me that He had earlier made comparison to this kings father, Nebuchadnezzar, in the Word of the Lord to America  that He spoke to me three years ago on April 4, 2007.  I admonish you to read this prophetic post,  “Woe To America“. Though Nebuchadnezzar’s son knew all that God had done for his father and for the nation, he, in his arrogance and pride, defied God and defiled the things of God.    He not only brought destruction to himself, but to the entire nation.

Now, let’s look back at the “handwriting on the wall” and see what God is saying to America.

Daniel 5:25

And this is the writing that was written,

I could not help but notice that Daniel 5:7-8 tells us that none of the kings astrologers, Chaldean’s, nor his soothsayers–no one–could even READ what was written on the wall–much less interpret it–except for Daniel, the prophet of God. Only those who are “of GOD” and “led by the Spirit of GOD” can hear GOD or understand what GOD is saying.  It matters not what authority or power you possess in this world, apart from GOD’S authority and God’s Spirit, you are as nothing.

It is most notable that God repeated the word “mene”.  Anytime God repeats Himself, anytime Jesus repeated Himself, it was for a reason.  Therefore, lets look at what the interpretation is of the first thing God wrote on the wall–twice.

Daniel 5:26

This is the interpretation of the thing:

God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it

So we see that with “mene, mene”, God is saying:

“God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.”

“God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.”

The New Jerusalem Bible translation is the most revealing of all.

The meaning of the words is this: mene: God has measured your sovereignty and put an end to it”

The Hebrew word that our English word “measured” comes from means to “weigh out”.

Concerning the repeating of “mene”: According to Mosaic Law, a man could not be sentenced to death on the word of only one witness.  It took at least two witnesses to testify against him.  As I see this death sentence repeated by God, I am reminded of what Jesus said to the religious leaders who called him a liar when He said, “I am the light of the world.  He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)  The Pharisees response:  The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.” (John 8:13) The following is Jesus’ response of the multiple witnesses of who He was.

John 8:16-18 (KJV)
16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

Jesus makes it known that when He speaks, it is not only He who speaks, but also the Father.  When I see this statement being repeated–this statement of a death sentence and a sentence of judgment on an entire nation–I hear God the Father and Jesus the Son speaking and bearing witness against this king and this nation.  So too, when God spoke this to me this morning concerning MY nation, America, I heard the Father and the Son proclaiming judgment and know that it will surely come to pass.  Also, God saw to it that I heard a second witness this morning to what He was speaking to me from His Word.  That confirmation came when He had me hear the excerpts from Clinton and Netanyahu’s speeches at the AIPAC convention at the very moment I was reading what He had spoken to me from the book of Daniel.  Without a disparaging word against the U.S. from the Prime Minister, the declaration of this son of Israel concerning the sovereignty of Israel was a witness against anyone who would say otherwise.

From Daniel 5:25-26 (NJB)

And this is the writing that was written,

God has measured your sovereignty
and put an end to it”)

God has measured your sovereignty
and put an end to it”)

The reason this particular translation caught my attention was that for months I have heard much from conservative and Christian media warning  and proving the threat to America’s “SOVEREIGNTY” by the current administration’s policies.  I find it interesting that as I sit here typing this, the president is signing into law the health care reform bill that was passed by our Congress two days ago, Sunday, March 21, 2010.  To avoid sounding “partisan”, I will simply quote the president and other democratic leaders as they said that this (passing of the health care reform bill) is indeed a historic act that will transform America.  In one of his many accolades of President Obama, Vice President Biden, in his speech to introduce the President at the signing of the bill, stated: “Mr. President, you are…literally about to make history. Our children and our grandchildren, they’re going to grow up knowing that a man named Barack Obama put the final girder in the framework for a social network in this country…”.  It is indeed historic, for it is the first time in the history of our nation that Congress voted into law a bill that was in direct opposition of the will and voice of more than 70% of its citizens.  It has been proven that such an act, in the throws of an already teetering economy, does in fact threaten the very  “sovereignty” of this nation.  The current administration, along with the majority of the House, has stated repeatedly that this is just the beginning.  They have openly and repeatedly stated that the transformation of this nation into a socialist government is their goal.  This transformation is indeed threatening the sovereignty of the United States of America.

Daniel 5:27

Thou art weighed in the balances,
and art found wanting.

This phrase is the word the Lord spoke to me as I pondered on what the Lord wanted me to say in this post.

The term “art found wanting” in Daniel 5:27 is a stronger term than what may appear.  The word “wanting” comes from the Hebrew root that means “to fail”.

Let’s look closely at what the Lord is speaking to America.

God is the Faithful and the Just.  There is nothing in Him that is not FAIR.  His BALANCES–his scales, his standard–are exact and RIGHT.  He is JUDGE over all and HE DOES JUDGE THE NATIONS!  Let me remind you of what God said concerning those who touch His People and His Land.

Joel 3:1-2 (NASB)
1 “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land.

America and her leaders have been weighed in God’s righteous balances and been proven to have failed–to be found wanting–deficient.  As I’ve said before, it would be enough that this nation receives God’s judgment for its gross perversions, thievery, injustice, and violence, but, more serious than these is  our disobedience to God, idolatry, and what we have done and continue to do to Israel–the people, His INHERITANCE, Israel, and in our trying to force Israel’s leaders to divide the land–GOD’S LAND.  Until now, we and our leaders declared America as a CHRISTIAN nation.  Not only have we not functioned as a Christian nation, the laws of our land are anything but.  Even our current president has declared before the nation and the world that we are no longer a Christian nation, but in essence declared us a nation of multiple religions and multiple gods.  In Daniel 5:23, God declares that this one who had inherited a kingdom blessed of God, had walked in pride, had lifted up himself against the Lord of heaven, defiled the things of God, worshiped the gods of silver, of gold and other things of the earth while refusing to glorify the only true God of heaven.

Daniel 5:28

Thy kingdom is divided,
and given to the Medes and Persians.

“Thy kingdom is divided”: Again, as I listened and watched the president sign this health care reform bill into law, as I heard the news media report and interview governors who will immediately file a law suit on behalf of at least thirteen states, and is projected to be as many as thirty-eight of our fifty states, because of this bill, and as I’ve watched our nation being divided in many ways over the past months, yes, this kingdom is being divided.  Through God’s judgment, this nation will be split into–both physically through devastating disasters and politically through a form of civil/race war.  You can read the dreams and visions that the Lord has given me since 2000 concerning such as this.  Before these revelations were ever given to me, I had not heard or read anything concerning such as this.  But since, God has confirmed them through other prophets/prophetess.  We are on the threshold of something very extreme and we are not ready for it.  I have said it before and I will say it again.  What we do to Israel, God will visit upon us–multiplied over.  See my post dated: “06.11.2005” and also “02.18.2003“.  In these you will see how God’s judgment came upon two nations –the U.S. and the U.K. for pressuring Israel into giving up God’s land to His and Israel’s enemies.  Every U.S. president that has been in office since the very first Middle East peace conference has pressured Israel to give up land for peace.  This pressure from our government was very strong under Clinton, and under George W. Bush–bringing God’s judgment upon our nation–but none of these compare to what Obama is doing.  His bias toward the Palestinians and his intolerance and outright hostility toward Israel has been very obvious.  It has been reported in Israeli news, that the majority of Israeli’s see Obama as an enemy of Israel.

“…and given to the Medes and Persians.” : I looked up who the Medes and Persians were and found that both were the ancient Iranian people who lived in what is present day Iran.  What is currently Afghanistan was also part of this people group.  It is not coincidence that God would use this particular Scriptural reference to speak to America. The Islamic leaders of Iran–most especially the current president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, continuously threaten to annihilate both Israel and America.  They refer to Israel as the Little Satan, and America as the GREAT SATAN.  Yet, our nations leaders and so many of its citizens do not believe the threat and the hatred.  They cannot see and understand, for they are spiritually blind and deaf.

The following are  just two examples of the many news reports coming out of Israel concerning the actions of the U.S. against the security and sovereignty of Israel.  It is only an example of the lengths the Obama administration will go, in order to have their say and get their way where Israel and the Middle East is concerned.

Obama blocks delivery of bunker-busters to Israel

The United States has diverted a shipment of bunker-busters designated for Israel.

Officials said the U.S. military was ordered to divert a shipment of smart bunker-buster bombs from Israel to a military base in Diego Garcia. They said the shipment of 387 smart munitions had been slated to join pre-positioned U.S. military equipment in Israel Air Force bases.

“This was a political decision,” an official said.

In 2008, the United States approved an Israeli request for bunker-busters capable of destroying underground facilities, including Iranian nuclear weapons sites. Officials said delivery of the weapons was held up by the administration of President Barack Obama, Middle East Newsline reported.

Since taking office, Obama has refused to approve any major Israeli requests for U.S. weapons platforms or advanced systems. Officials said this included proposed Israeli procurement of AH-64D Apache attack helicopters, refueling systems, advanced munitions and data on a stealth variant of the F-15E.

“All signs indicate that this will continue in 2010,” a congressional source familiar with the Israeli military requests said. “This is really an embargo, but nobody talks about it publicly.”

Under the plan, the U.S. military was to have stored 195 BLU-110 and 192 BLU-117 munitions in unspecified air force bases in Israel. The U.S. military uses four Israeli bases for the storage of about $400 million worth of pre-positioned equipment meant for use by either Washington or Jerusalem in any regional war.

In January 2010, the administration agreed to an Israeli request to double the amount of U.S. military stockpiles to $800 million. Officials said the bunker-busters as well as Patriot missile interceptors were included in the agreement.

The decision to divert the BLU munitions was taken amid the crisis between Israel and the United States over planned construction of Jewish homes in Jerusalem. The administration, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has warned that Washington could reduce military aid to Israel because of its construction policy.

In 2007, after its war in Lebanon, Israel requested 2,000 BLU-109 live bombs from the United States. The 2,000-pound bomb, produced by Boeing and coupled with a laser guidance kit, was designed to penetrate concrete bunkers and other underground hardened sites.

Israeli ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, was quoted as saying that his country faced its biggest crisis with the United States since 1975. A pro-Israel lobbyist said Oren was referring to the current U.S. embargo, which echoed a decision taken 35 years ago by then-President Gerald Ford after Israel’s refusal to withdraw from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. Oren has since denied the remark.

Prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu convened his inner cabinet Saturday night, March 12, to discuss the spiraling crisis with Washington and his first response.

debkafile’s military and Washington sources report: The Obama administration is considering withholding from Israel military items urgently needed in case of a flare-up of hostilities with Iran. This would further ratchet up the mounting row over Israel’s decision to build another 1,600 homes in E. Jerusalem. The requests were filed by defense minister Ehud Barak as recently as Feb. 26, when he visited Washington and met defense secretary Robert Gates and secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

In an exceptionally harsh phone call to Netanyahu Friday, Clinton herself hinted at this possibility while administering a dressing-down on the East Jerusalem housing decision and its announcement during Vice president Joe Biden’s visit.

Reporting on that phone call, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley disclosed: “The secretary said she could not understand how this happened, particularly in light of the United States’ strong commitment to Israel’s security.”

Washington correspondents interpreted this as a threat to withhold items vital for Israel’s security unless the prime minister reversed that decision (which Palestinians now demand as the precondition for resuming peace talks).

Our military sources report that the Barak arms list is tailored to a potential four-front offensive against Israel launched by Iran and its allies. It includes systems needed by the Israeli Air Force, certain types of missiles and advanced electronic equipment. During his last visit, the defense minister complained the list had been pending in Washington for more than three months and the sands for a possible conflict were running out fast. He stressed that it was essential for these items to reach Israel before a flare-up occurred. The urgency was such that he suggested that if they could not be supplied to Israel at short notice, they should at least be held ready meanwhile in the emergency stores of the US bases in Israel’s Negev.

Gates promised Barak to study the list and let him have his answer in the coming days, but none has so far been received.

Some circles in the United States and many in Israel say the Obama administration is blowing the crisis up with deliberate intent. American-Jewish criticism was led Saturday night by the Anti-Defamation League’s Abraham Foxman, who issued this statement: “We are shocked and stunned at the Administration’s tone and public dressing down of Israel on the issue of future building in Jerusalem,” he said. “One can only wonder how far the US is prepared to go in distancing itself from Israel in order to placate the Palestinians.”

Defense sources in Washington reported Saturday the view that the Obama administration, which has never cultivated warm relations with the Netanyahu government, has seized on the Jerusalem housing spat as a device for restraining Israel from attacking Iran’s nuclear sites, a step which the White House strenuously opposes.

As you can easily see in these news reports, this Obama administration is doing everything it can to CONTROL Israel’s decisions.  Their tactics have gone from political arm twisting to endangering an entire nation as they dangle Iran’s nuclear arms capability over Israel’s head.  While our president is behaving like a schoolyard bully toward Israel, Iran is busy making the bomb.  While our government is treating our 62 year long ally like an enemy–breaking vows made and punishing them for not relinquishing their sovereignty to our every whim–our long time enemy (Russia) is furnishing the enemy of both Israel and the U.S.–the most radical Islamic  nation in the world–with whatever it needs to finish it’s nuclear ambitions.  If you have not read my prophetic post titled “Jerusalem Day“, please read at the least the “In A Nutshell” summary of it.  This will prove helpful to those who are not familiar with Israel’s struggles to possess what God has promised them, and how God feels about the nations who interfere. You might also want to read the post “Adding Sin to Sin“.  It reveals the broken vows of this administration–vows made to Israel by former presidents–and Scriptural proof of how God deals with those who do such as this.  It will shed some light on the seriousness of these latest vows made to Israel and broken by this current Obama administration.

God has shown me (and others) that He is going to bring severe judgment on this nation.  I believe that He is allowing the cup to fill and run over before He does.  He is a God of love and of mercy, and has shown me how to pray–that the only thing I can pray for is His mercy in the midst of His judgment–for His judgment WILL SURELY COME.  Some will say that they believe that there are too many Christians repenting and interceding in prayer for this nation, and claiming 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” They believe that because of this, God will not bring judgment on America.  The problem is, they have plucked this verse out of context and have failed to read the Scripture before it–verse 13–the first part of God’s sentence.  God said:  If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; THEN he continues with: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” God is telling King Solomon what He will do in response to His people’s repentance AFTER He has brought judgment on them for their sin!  When God brings judgment on a nation, it is because that nation has already refused to repent after God has given repeated signs and warnings.

As I’ve said before, this nation is not ready for what is coming–not even God’s people.  Too many Christians look like the rest of the world.  They only want to hear PEACE, PEACE, when there is no peace.  They want someone to tickle their ears and preach nothing but health and prosperity when the Spirit of God is speaking something else for this hour.   Before you faith teachers or adherents get offended, know this.  I fully believe and live a life of radical faith.  I know that God desires to do good for me and bless me, but  God’s blessings are not the focus of my life.   God DEMANDS a pursuit of HOLINESS, not a pursuit of HAPPINESS.  It is only through our pursuit of holiness  that can we even experience true joy and happiness.

You may fear the coming desolation or famine, but there is already a famine in the land–a famine much worse than one of nature–a famine of the TRUTH of GOD’S WORD–a famine of HEARING THE WORD OF THE LORD.  Not so?  Ask yourself this.  When is the last time you personally heard a clarion call from the pulpit of your church to repent, and a call for holiness, and a call to weep and fast before the Lord over the sin that is so prevalent in the Church, and for the corruption in our  nations leadership,  and for the lost masses?  If you are hearing such as this, then you are among the minority.  Ask yourself another question.  Where are the true prophets of the Church?  Or, has your denomination killed the prophets due to that denominations unbelief of God’s word–which by your  traditions has made the word of God of none effect (Mark 7:13)? And for those denominations that haven’t killed them off, are the prophets speaking what the Spirit is saying, or are they catering to what they know  the people  want to hear?

I will close by admonishing you to humble yourself before the One True Holy GOD.  Get in His Word and stay in fellowship with Him through worship and prayer.  Seek His face with ALL your heart, soul, mind and strength.  Today is the day of salvation!  Pray for God’s mercy to be manifest in the day of judgment.  Contend with the brothers and sisters in Christ who are caught up in sin.  Weep over them and admonish them in love to repent and turn back to obedience to the Faith.  Share  God’s TRUTH with a lost and dying world.  Stand in fear and awe of our awesome God.  Watch!  For His coming is near.

And what of Netanyahu’s meeting with Obama this evening?

News reports announced that the two hours of meetings between Obama and Netanyahu not only broke with tradition/custom, but with protocol in how our government has always treated an ALLY.  Every part of it was behind closed doors. No reporters were invited–no photographs, no official statements afterward, and no reporters even allowed to see a handshake between both leaders. It was also reported that when Obama was not getting what he wanted from Netanyahu, he got up to leave and told Netanyahu that he was going to eat dinner and that Netanyahu could hang around the White House with his aids if he’d like–rudely shunning the Prime Minister by not offering him to courtesy to share a  meal.

The Day After

A friend commented on this post with a link to an article by Newsmax.com, that he felt I would be interested in seeing.  He was indeed correct, for in it, Robert Malley, director of the International Crisis Group’s Middle East Program was quoted by Helene Cooper and John F. Burns in the New York Times:

“the writing is on the wall that Obama and Netanyahu are going to clash on the final status (of the Palestinians),”.
–Robert Malley, Director, International Crisis Group’s Middle East Program

I found this Biblical reference used by Director Malley–and most especially that it was quoted on the same day that God spoke from this same Biblical event to me concerning America–as just more confirmation of what the Lord spoke over this nation and this president this past Tuesday Morning (see “The Handwriting on the Wall“).

For those of us who did not know who Robert Malley is… “he is an American lawyer, political scientist and specialist in conflict resolution. He is currently Program Director for Middle East and North Africa at the International Crisis Group in Washington, D.C., and a former Special Assistant to President Bill Clinton for Arab-Israeli Affairs (1998-2001). Prior to holding that title, he was Assistant to National Security Advisor Sandy Berger (1996-1998) and the Director for Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs at the National Security Council (1994-1996). Malley is considered an expert on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has written extensively on this subject. As Special Assistant to President Clinton, he was a member of the U.S. peace team and helped organize the 2000 Camp David Summit.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Malley)

The following is the full article from Newsmax.com.  It is very troubling, and very embarrassing for our country.  After that, is the  very revealing article by Joel Rosenberg concerning what went on “behind closed doors” in the Obama-Netanyahu meetings.

HEADLINE: Obama Snubs Netanyahu at White House

Friday, 26 Mar 2010 10:02 AM Article Font Size

By: Dan Weil

President Obama snubbed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in several ways during his visit to Washington this week.

The White House is upset with Netanyahu’s recent decision to approve Jewish construction in east Jerusalem.

The approval was announced during Vice President Biden’s recent visit to Israel to spark peace negotiations with Palestinians. The Obama administration is miffed by what it sees as Israeli intransigence on this issue.

The White House denied Netanyahu the red carpet treatment generally afforded to visiting heads of state.

The Israeli prime minister and Obama didn’t pose for photos together, and Netanyahu was excluded from dinner with the president Tuesday night.

When Netanyahu wouldn’t agree to concessions, Obama left a meeting with him, though he invited Netanyahu to stay at the White House, talk to Obama advisers and “let me know if there is anything new,” a U.S. congressman who spoke to Netanyahu, told The Times of London.

“It was awful,” the congressman said.

One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages,” conducted in such an adversarial environment that the Israeli delegation eventually left, worried that their White House phone conversations were being bugged.

Another Israeli paper wrote that Netanyahu received “the treatment reserved for the president of Equatorial Guinea”.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs quibbled with details of the Israeli accounts but didn’t deny that the White House was sending a message to Netanyahu.

That message: his refusal to freeze construction is the biggest obstacle to resuming peace talks with the Palestinians.

While the two countries are trying to overcome the clash, “the writing is on the wall that Obama and Netanyahu are going to clash on the final status (of the Palestinians),” Robert Malley, director of the International Crisis Group’s Middle East program, told The New York Times.

The following is a very informative article from Joel Rosenberg concerning Netanyahu’s meeting with Obama and others here in the U.S. this week.  It is just confirmation and more proof of where this President and his administration is taking this country, and how he is doing all he can to gather other nations to join him in pressuring Israel to give her land and her sovereignty over to her enemies.

(emphasis mine)

(First posted: Washington, D.C, March 24, 2010, 9:35pm eastern. Updated at 8:15am, March 25) – What in the world was going on behind the scenes of the Obama-Netanyahu meetings? Why were the talks so tense, and so shrouded in secrecy? Wednesday night, I was able to gain some clues. It’s not good.

The Obama administration has been applying intense and unprecedented pressure on the Netanyahu government to make huge unilateral concessions to the Palestinians even before direct peace talks begin. One advisor who has been briefed on the talks told me:

President Obama is insisting that Israel sign a document that specifies Israel’s commitment to a peace deal with the Palestinians that will be based on 1967 lines.”

This means no building in Jerusalem, and a time table to address other core issues, like the ‘right of return.’” The source, one that I trust a great deal, also noted that President Obama spoke by phone in the last 24 hours with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to make sure each of them are on board with pressuring the Israelis to make such unprecedented unilateral concessions. The White House apparently wants the document to become the blueprint for final status negotiations, even though the Palestinians refuse even to come to the table and sit down face-to-face with Israeli leaders, including Netanyahu.

The Netanyahu team delayed their departure out of Washington Wednesday afternoon to continue meeting almost non-stop together at the Israeli Embassy. Several key officials also met with special Mideast envoy George Mitchell and other key administration officials. The team finally left for Israel late Wednesday night. Thus far, a virtual news blackout has been imposed on President Obama’s meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

The good news: Netanyahu had a very good week. He looked strong and principled. He was gracious and diplomatic. And he stood his ground. He did not cave into the intense pressure from the White House and State Department. He refused to divide Jerusalem. In a masterful AIPAC speech, he calmly and clearly explained why Israel would never give up the right to build homes in her capital. He sent the U.S. and the world a straightforward and sobering message that if they don’t move quickly and decisively to stop Iran from getting the Bomb, then Israel will do it herself. He didn’t threaten. He didn’t swagger. He simply stated the facts, in their historic context, and nobody does it better than Netanyahu. What’s more, he did all this with Defense Minister Ehud Barak standing in solidarity at his side, which was important because it sent the White House — and his critics back in Israel, and enemies back in Iran — the message that the Israeli government is united. No small thing. Barak came to Camp David with Yasser Arafat in 2000 willing carve up Jerusalem and give away the West Bank. God bless Netanyahu for opposing this approach in principle, and for having and (thus far, at least) maintaining Barak’s support in the process.

What’s more, the AIPAC speech, plus the warm and engaging meetings with Members of Congress significantly strengthened Netanyahu’s hand. It reconnected him in a very important way with grassroots pro-Israel activists from all over the U.S., Jews and Christians alike. It also significantly strengthened his alliance with Congress, which continues to prove itself as the pro-Israel end of Pennsylvania Avenue. Both are critical in counter-balancing the hostile Obama administration.

The President and Prime Minister met twice at the White House on Tuesday night for a total of about two hours, from 5:30pm to around 7pm, and then again from about 8:30pm to 9pm. Senior aides to both leaders then stayed up until nearly 1:00am Wednesday morning continuing their talks. The White House, however, has refused to treat Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak with the dignity and respect afforded other world leaders. No joint press conferences. No photo ops. No still shots released of the two leaders meeting. Pretty much ”no comment” to any of the substance.

The Netanyahu team, apparently following the request of the White House and trying to be sensitive to the desire of its host, hasn’t been talking either. On Wednesday morning, the Israelis canceled all interviews. Several news outlets have noted the silence related to the talks is “deafening,” and I agree. It’s hard to remember the last time a world leader of Netanyahu’s caliber — particularly a strong friend and ally of the United States — was subject to such treatment from an administration that claims to be hitting the “reset” button to improve relations between the two countries. Except for last year when Netanyahu came to Washington and also met with Obama without a photo op, press conference, or any of the diplomatic trappings of mutual respect and true friendship.

I believe that Netanyahu was wise to cancel his media interviews on Wednesday. He didn’t grandstand. He didn’t purposefully stick his finger in the President’s eye. Having effectively made his public case to AIPAC and Congress on Monday and Tuesday, Netanyahu, Barak and their team worked hard on Wednesday to show the administration their willingness to negotiate in good faith, and to do so without immediately and publicly airing their differences with the administration. That said, Netanyahu and his team should soon do many media interviews with U.S. and foreign media. He should also dispatch senior government officials to speak to Jewish and Christians groups throughout the U.S. in the weeks and months ahead. He has the support of the American people, but he should never take that for granted.

The central problem is the White House and State Department are trying to force Israel to divide Jerusalem and divide Judea & Samaria, commonly known as the West Bank. This is a mistake for numerous reasons, particularly because of Joel 3:1 in which the Lord says in the last days He will “enter into judgment” with “all the nations” because they have terribly mistreated the Jewish people “and they have divided up My land.”

Prophetically, I believe Israel will eventually be isolated from all countries in the world, especially as we approach the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 & 39. Eventually, the Lord will wean Israel off of every nation – including the U.S. – so that the Jewish people only have Him to turn to and depend upon. That said, however, the Scriptures are clear in Genesis 12:1-3 and elsewhere that those who bless Israel, He will bless, and those who curse Israel, He will curse. We want our countries to be blessed by God, to experience repentance and revival and to be blessings to the rest of the world. Now, therefore, is the most critical time for true followers of Jesus Christ to show unconditional love and unwavering support to Israelis and to their Palestinian neighbors. We need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We need to show the love of Jesus to every Jew and Gentile in the Holy Land. And we need to strengthen the Church in the epicenter, encourage pastors and ministry leaders, and help them fulfill Isaiah 60:1-4.
