09.12.2010 “Washington Doesn’t Lose Sleep at Night”

Fulfilled 09.11.2012

September 12, 2010

After spending time in prayer this morning I sat down at my desk and just wanted to read God’s Word with no need for confirmation or seeking anything from the Lord except to see HIM in His Word and to bask in His Holy Presence.  The Psalms came to mind as the perfect place to see Him, for truly, King David was a man after God’s own heart (I Sam. 13:14).  I had bought a journal so I could document Scriptures that told the names of God, revealed His nature and character.  As I began reading in Psalm 1, I would document these particular passages as I came across them.  I had read through the first nine chapters and was mid way of chapter 10 when I nodded off for just a second.  One moment I’m reading the last word in a verse and the next thing I hear is a man saying, “Washington doesn’t lose sleep at night.” I heard myself respond inquisitively, “Really?” At that instant my eyes popped open and I realized that I had dozed off just long enough to hear this and respond as I did.  I knew it was the Lord who had spoken to me.  As I rehearsed these words in my mind I wondered why He would say this to me at what seemed just out of nowhere.  So, I asked Him.  He  prompted me to re-read the first 10 verses of Psalms chapter 10 that I had just read when this happened.  When I went back and read them again, it was quite clear that these verses described our government and its current administration.  Here is what preceded the Word from the Lord.

Psalm 10:1-18 (KJV)
1 Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.
4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.

THIS is where I drifted off and heard the Lord say:

“Washington doesn’t lose sleep at night.”

I understood by this comment that He was saying that those in authority in Washington are so convinced that they are right in what they are doing to this nation that they have no problem sleeping.  They do not have a guilty conscience.  The wicked are not convicted by God’s Holy Spirit.  They have no problem wreaking havoc in other people’s lives as long as it serves their own personal purpose and is to their advantage.

After re-reading these verses and seeing this, I continued and read the rest of the chapter.  It is at this very verse that the message changes.

12 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.
13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
16 The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.
17 LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

It is no coincidence that I heard the word from the Lord exactly when I finished reading about the works of the wicked.  The rest of the chapter is a cry to God to break the arm (the power) of the wicked and destroy them and deliver the oppressed. I also do not find it a coincidence that within days of hearing this, I would hear confirmation of this very word.  Up until this time I’d never heard anyone make this statement concerning Washington or this administration, but a few days afterward, I was listening to the news on TV and heard a man make the statement, “Washington doesn’t lose sleep at night…” Yes, it instantly got my attention.  The man speaking went on to expound on his thought by saying that in spite of the crisis this nation is in economically, politically, and on every front, this administration truly believes that everything they have done, are doing, and plan to do is the right thing, regardless that upwards of 70% of the population disagree.

I believe that the Lord wants us to know and understand what we are dealing with–not from our own or someone else’s opinion–but straight from the Word of God.  King David cried out to the only one who could deliver them from such wicked men.  He cried out to God Almighty.  I think it is a wonderful thing that so many sleeping Christians have been shaken from their slumber and realize that while they slept, this nation was going to hell in a hand basket.   For too long, just like Washington many of God’s people haven’t lost sleep at night over the state of this nation.   Thankfully, many Christians and other morally good people in this nation are now engaging–are educating themselves and searching for truth.  But, we must understand as David, that there is only ONE who can fix this.  It is because we have failed to seek God, and serve Him, and trust Him that we’re in the mess we’re in.  May we fall on our faces in repentance to Almighty God, and then rise up to walk in His precepts and obedience to His commands.  May we turn a deaf ear to the lies of the wicked and refuse to have our ears tickled with empty words that continue to enslave us by feeding the lusts of our flesh.  May we desire to drink from the Fountain of Living Water and be cleansed and made whole.  Because we and our forefathers have sinned and have walked in pride and contempt for God, His judgment has come to this land, and, as the Lord spoke to me on 9/11 and said, “This is just the beginning.”, we have more to see and experience.  When the death angel went throughout Egypt, only those who believed the Word of the Lord and obeyed the Word of the Lord were preserved.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;
and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body
be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-23

UPDATE –Word of the Lord confirmed

October 27, 2012

I received this email last night concerning an earlier post.

This whole thing in Libya sheds a new light on your post about the administration being able to sleep at night! Check out the date of you hearing those words…

I had never considered this that the Lord spoke to me two years ago was prophetic of what would happen exactly two years later.  I just thought that the Lord was showing me truth of what had already happened and the attitude of this President and his administration.  I had no idea that two years to the day later it would be proven that they would not only be without conscience, but worse.

With all that has been revealed over the past six weeks concerning the administrations knowledge prior to, the participation during the actual attack, and the cover-up since, it is obvious that this word from the Lord on 9/12/10 was not only truth for the time, but also prophetic of what was to come exactly two years later. The recent revelations of Washington’s multiple refusals of urgent and repeated requests for protection by  Ambassador Chris Stevens, and most especially the incomprehensible order to “stand down” given twice to the operatives trying to rescue those under attack (orders that X-Navy Seal, Tyrone Woods, who was leading CIA personnel refused to follow, and died in his courageous attempt to save the Ambassador and others), and the seven hours of attacks, made the Presidents and his administrations words and actions to the families and to the American public afterward, unconscionable.

As you will read on the original post, on 9/12/10 God said, “Washington doesn’t lose sleep at night.”, and I would dare to say that they didn’t lose any sleep on the night of 9/12/12 either.

Thanks to Fred Carlson for bringing this to my attention!

Here is confirming evidence from what was revealed in the congressional hearings concerning the administrations handling of the Benghazi attacks:
